Eleven days of cutting edge shorts, UK premieres and archive events. This year’s Flatpack Film Festival was as creative as festivals get. I went along to cover the event for Gorilla Film Magazine and you can find my full feature on the festival here.

I managed to catch some brilliantly imaginative short films in the Festival’s ‘open reel’ event for new filmmakers and some dark and unexpected shorts as part of the yearly Pick and Mix selection.

Amongst the feature films I discovered were Alexandre Rockwell’s poignant Little Feet, surprising Canadian film Vic + Flo Saw A Bear and the neatly choreographed mind puzzle The Strange Little Cat. Full reviews of all these films are on their way but in the meantime, hop on over to Gorilla and take a closer look at what Flatpack 2014 had to offer, including videos and trailers for my picks of the Festival’s best short films.
